    Matchups

There might already be a thread, but anyway...

Who is going to get who on Saturday night?

I can't remember much of the last time we met, but I think Kirk played on Buckley (and Buckley unfairly got Brownlow points!)???

Barry on Rocca? Goodes on C.Cloke?

Any other suggestions? Who will B2 take?

My lack of Collingwood knowledge isn't helping me out here...

If Schuable is back, he would take Cam Cloke as Rocca would run his hammy's ragged(Schuabs whatever you do, don't kick the air).

Without Schuabs, I'd suggest Barry for Cam Cloke, Goodes/CBolton on Rocca.

Maybe bring in James to play on Cam Cloke, both inexperienced and learning the trade, might be good for Heath.

    Davis to kick 5...

That had better be Nick and not Leon!

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

No chance! Andrew has been given about 2 weeks before returning, and even then, Rossy said he would need 2-3 weeks in Ressies before he is anywhere near match fit, so you can rule him out.

Leo on Rocca. Anthony will be looking for a lot of body on body, which is great cos as he showed vs Fraser Gehrig, Leo avoids that and throws himself in for the spol when the ball gets closer. He will also kill Rocca for pace around the ground and he will definitely not be able to run with him when he rebounds or make the tackles needed to stop him when the footy hits the ground.
B2 would probably get C Cloke, with Goodesy get Jason when he oves in there. Bevo will have Neon Leon and Crouchy on Didak. When Fraser moves to the goal square, we can put Goodesy on him and give James a go on the leftovers. Tiger can pretty much play on the wing.
We pretty much have these guys all over the ground, i mean really, do they have any decent match ups for Just Barry, Nicky D, RyanO, Magic and a possible Schneiderman?? I doubt it.
            - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

Presti would be the obvious choice for Bazza, though I get the impression he's been struggling for form a bit. Clement has been in good form and would be the likely choice for O'Loughlin. These seem the better player for player match ups for the Pies, though I suspect they'd rather have Clement out at CHB and Presti at FB. Lonie will probably get Davis, and will have the instruction to run off him at every opportunity. Maybe Cole for Nicks and Lokan for Schneider if he plays, or whichever smaller midfielder is resting up there. No idea who this leaves for O'Keefe.

I think you're right here on both counts.

Presti out at CHB will be a real worry for the 'Pies - he doesn't play well when up the ground.

Just realised that I completely forgot about Wakelin - he may well get first crack at Hall.

And Nick has been practising on making his right cross look like a spoil...
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Ah yes - of course he will. Clement will get Davis or O'Loughlin. Not sure if there is anyone for Presti to match up against.

As long as we are hard at it like the Brisbane in the GF and keep our heads over the ball(aka Jonathon Brown), Collingwood will wither.

Rocca always plays reasonably well against the swans ..is he certain to play??

i think kirk can handle buckley and we need to shut down licuria or however you spell it...perhaps give him a swans guernsey used to stop him playing well..

tho id match jude on him
