    Blockbuster

Last year when we played the Pies - was a genuine blockbuster due to us both being so high on the ladder and it being so close to the end of the season.

For this rivalry to take off as - you would need some gripping on field action as well just like the Anzac Day game was kick started by that fantastic draw.

Obviously hope it takes off here but the marketing men need to be concious of the fact that ultimately what happens on the paddock is the best advertisement.

I think the quality of the game becomes secondary if a real rivalry is built ala showdowns, derby's and Anzac day. You need pure hate, I really think that is building between these two sides - so much so that hopefully one of these days, Sydney V Collingwood is a game you can't get tickets to because people know something might just happen!

I also think the Essendon game needs to be explored to - we have a great history on the paddock, we need to build more of an off field hatred for each other.

(BTW hatred is strong!, I am talking in sporting context!!)
