    schaubs

From the Nicky D not playing story

"In a further boost, full-back Andrew Schauble and goal-sneak Adam Schneider will resume team training at Wednesday afternoon's training session at Homebush after over-coming their respective hamstring woes.

    That makes me really happy

And the whole Schneiderman thing doesn't hurt either!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

On the channel 10 news report I saw Schneider running with the rest of the group (and I think Schaubes too, but I wasn't really looking for him), which is a good sign (I was glad to see the leg had not yet been amputated).

I hope, hope, hope they don't rush him back though. They've been liberal with their "3 weeks" all along, what's another one for good measure gonna hurt?

I definitely agree, schauble has been out for so long, what would be the point in bringing him back and then having him do it again. I definitely think we should wait until hew is fit and then wait maybe one or two more weeks. I think we are capable of peaking in time for the finals if we nake it, as long as schauble and o'loughlin are fit.

swans website has Andrew as 1 week!! Thats the first time iv seen it off the 3 weeks for a long time. Seems as though they just copy and pasted schaubs' info with the season injuries
Awesome to see him and Schneiderman returning soon, for once our players are returning at the right end of the season, we are gonna give September a reall shake up if we can field somewhere near our top 18.
        - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

Hmmmm might be tough with nobody on the bench!!!!

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Trouble with Schaubs will be that he will have lost a stack of fitness with such a long lay off.
I'd be surprised to see him in the seniors prior to Geelong.

Ditto for Schneider given that his was a re-ocurrance.

Agree.Schaubs will be a puffing billy if he is put back in the team without any fitness. If he could stay in the goalsquare and play on Lynch type players he would be alright but there are not that many around.

even less around when you consider they keep withdrawing from swans matches!

Adelaide seems a good target comeback game for Schaubs. It's a home game, they have no big imposing forwards (now that the King is gone) and they can play him off the bench against (he-he) Stevens.

Schaubs will struggle for at least the first month back. I would give him a game in the twos first.

Rememer last year he took about 8 rounds to hit top form.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.
