Fixter back in Swans top side

Coach Paul Roos said Fixter, who turned 23 on Wednesday, would return to the side along with ruckmen Stephen Doyle and Jason Ball, full forward Michael O'Loughlin and fullback Leo Barry.

Welcome back BF, here's to hoping you step up as quickly as some other youngsters have this year.

My only memory of him is that he likes running with the ball and takes too long to get rid of it often getting dragged down from behind.By the way people talk about him here he obviously has a bit more to offer.

It's great to see him finally get back on the field. His perseverance alone deserves success - I hope he finds it bigtime.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

All the best - good hunting.

                Run fast and tackle hard.

My memories of him are somewhat more pleasing, two years ago he was one of our brightest young things.

He did very very well down back, very quick, and kicked a few goals when he played a game working in tandem in the forward line with O'Keefe.

I thought him a definite midfield prospect.

Yep that was his best game for us. Against North Melbourne if I remember rightly. He kicked 3 goals and O'Keefe 4?

There's an article about him on the AFL site:

and if the link's been posted before, well it's been posted again.

More than one game! I reckon he may surprise.

Even Denis Cometti noticed "Fixter, sounds like someone Batman might have trouble with"

                            or something along those lines

I expect him to be in-and-out of the team for the rest of the year - like Heath James.

2 years out of the game is always gonna hurt, and could ruin him if he's lost pace because of it.

                              But you never know...
