Injuries (again) you need to read this!

It?s official - Sydney have more injuries than Fremantle, Collingwood, Richmond, Geelong, the Kangaroos, Bulldogs and West Coast??PUT TOGETHER!

I have looked at the injury lists and picked out only players who might be considered in the top 25 (team plus emergencies). It makes for interesting reading. The figures in brackets break down the total between injuries with weeks and ones with ?test.?

Sydney have 11 senior players on the injured list.

For the other teams the average number is. 3.1. This ranges from Fremantle with none (!) to Brisbane with 8.

Even with a week off Sydney will still be missing at least 7 players. If we had played last week we would have been missing 11 from our top 25!!!!!

The only teams even within coo-ee are Essendon missing 5 and Brisbane missing 4 (plus a couple of niggles which may not come up)

You just have to laugh when Collingwood supporters talk about being hard hit by injury. They have one player on the injured list?and he might be fit for this weekend!

You could, but he isnt considered as a senior or someone who would challenge for a run in the 25. If you wanted to include those sorts theres Schmidt and a few more to worry about as well.
      - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

Arguments could be made against including Amon Buchanan and Jarrad Sundqvist, but... its close enough.

Have we ever had a full list to choose from?

Every team has injuries, but I think we'd be up there for the worst run of injuries over the past 10 years.

Lawson, Chapman, Fitzgerald, James, Doyle, Fixter...

Goodes won a rising star because we didn't have another fit man over 190cm...

        Is it the SCG?

I actually think given his form early Nick could well have been one fo those players Roosy wanted to give a go to this year.

It was just a practice match, but at NSO he played well. I don't think he would have been far off.
