    Thewlis...opinions please

Can we get some opinions on Thewlis, have read the bio but how has he gone this year and prior to injury last? A brief summary from you twos Watchers would be good.

I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren

Prior to injury he seemed to be able to take a good mark and knows where the goals are. (Generally a straight kick - OK now I have put the mozz on him) Forward flanker
Haven't seen that much recently Roosy could be setting him as a medium / tall flanker at either end of the paddock. Will only get a few minutes to got over the nerves.... Hopefully he gets plenty of touches and bags a few goals

I agree with Lizz on this. I like Josh, he plays with a lot of heart. Not always that flash and has been known to rush his disposal, but this side of things have improved since the beginning of the year. He's pretty versatile. I think in the ressies he's played almost every spot except doing the ruck duties (well in the games I've watched he hasn't). He's not hard to spot on the field either. His shorts almost reach his knees. (or they seem to)
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release

Roos gave him a good rap last nite. Both as a player and as a person. He reckons he has the personality to handle the pressure of a big game without any problems.

          I wait with anticipation!!

Not the worlds most skillfull player but he's big and strong, er . . . he reminds me of Rohan Wharfe (only with more potential)!

              That is a backhanded compliment.

You mean he is starting from a low base! Lots of room to improve? If he has Rohan's skill level he will be a journeyman on a (I hope) short trip.

                Josh Thewlis

I have seen Josh play each time the reserves have played
Wagga tigers in Wagga I like him as a player his marking for a
guy his size is excellent his pace is good his disposal is getting
better and I think along with Willoughby Erickson Davis and
Dempster he will play a key role in years to come.
                cheers Ian
