    Good review Liz - can't say I'd fundamentally disagree with any of your comments or conclusions.

      One thing I meant to mention but overlooked is that the Pies have been the worst team in the competition this year for conceding goals in "time-on". The Swans are reasonably good at finishing quarters off strongly so this might be an opportunity for the team to exploit.

      The counter, of course, is that the Swans will need to make sure that they don't doze for too long at the start of quarters, as they are sometimes prone to do.

          ahh the dreaded red time goals. other points worth considering are as follows: collingwood are 15th in disposals, 16th in handballs 1st in clangers 12th in contested possesions and hard ball gets and 16 th in tackles. at this point last year they were;
          disp: 11th
          handballs:10th
          clangers; 13th
          hard ball gets: 1st
          tackles; 7th

          conclusion: they are nowhere near as hard at the ball or the contest as they were last year. if we go in at the start with high intensity we should be able to rattle them.
          it will probably still be close as they rarely give up but i thought the stats were interesting.

          (great article lizz)
