    A bit less than anticipated.

How long has it been, however, since we won a game in front of more than 50,000?

Off the top of my head, I'm wondering if it's the first time since the move to Sydney?!?

About what I expected considering, we had the Union test up against us, the fact it was 9th against 14th and the low eye media build up, compared to last seasons match.
    Once was, now elsewhere

It was also a freezing cold night, which might have persuaded some to stay at home and watch it on TV.

50,000 is a decent effort from ole Sydney town against a lowly team and with a lower key build up than there should have been.

I think we saw how established this club and the game of AFL football is in the Sydney these days. With strong opposition from the fact you could staty at home and watch both codes, we can be happy we broke the 50000 mark. The union against Scotland only got 54000 the week before.

They tried to undermine us, and well it may have kept a few away, but bugger it. We just beat the Pies and drew 50000.

The fact we are disappointed with 50000 these days shows the expectation and potential we have with this club.

Bring on the @@@@ Blues on Saturday.

Lizz, I was laid up with the flu, and I know you think I'm a dirty rotten cop-out for not going out .. but if I'd been there and shouted myself hoarse - I wouldn't be speaking for days. Will be in good voice for next week's go at the blues at the Alex!!

Pleasantly suprised by final figure. Happy to admit my 40k figure was well out.

Would have thought it was bitter sweet for club though, considering position of teams, up against union "HAPPY"

Amount of hype, amount of free tickets distributed, amount of Pies fans who travelled "disappointing"

World Cup rematches and Joey Johns stories only come around once in a lifetime.

As long as we are not plowing the depths of ladder next year, expect a big bounce in the ground.

And look out for the SnDon game in Round 21, that has the potential for another 70,000 + crowd.
