    Is Quarters a pies fan?

I tell you what - just watching the end of the game in the very delayed telecast in Sydney (still going here) - and Quarters is harping on about Tarrant being out and basically putting down our outs...

Was he bad during the match?

Yep, caught the end of the game when we got home from the game (which confuses me a little now I think of it) and he was doing his best to make excuses for him.

I think he is a Hawthorn supporter (or maybe Richmond... damned club ties...). Loves the Victorian teams though.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

No, but I believe he is big mates with Eddie....might explain the bias in any commentary he makes (couldn't comment on that as I can't stand the TV commentary, and was at the game).
        Bring it on!

As already mentioned, he is a Hawks fan.

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

If Tarrant had played without Schauble also returning, then I think he would have been the difference between a win and a loss.

Still, it is so nice to beat then anyway, anywhere, anytime!

I am not totally convinced - it simply just changes the dynamics of the game.

Who knows - with Tarrant's reasonable reputation it might have fired up his opponent to totally shut him down, therefore changing the game totally.

I don't agree that he is a dead set match winner and couldn't have been shut down by us.

In saying that, still glad he was out lol

With the only change being Tarrant playing then I think they may have won. Their forward line structure and attack was fairly disorganised, and with a good target it would have been tougher for us.

At least when Micky kicked that long goal from on the boundary, he picked up the emotion slightly with a " .. and he's kicked a bee-yoo-tay .. ".

But let's face it, it's like biting your lip til it bleeds if you are a commentator. We know Ed is who he is, but for the rest of them a certain professionalism is expected.

Huddo can never control his bias. If we were doing a good job on say, Essendon. He'd go purple with excitment and cough up " .. heeeeeere come the Bombers .. " following one of their goals in answer.
