He started on Lokan, IIRC, who looked taller, bigger and quicker, but Bevan held his own quite well I thought. He's a very good tackler! Held Leon Davis goalless from memory, and sure let him known when he missed a pretty simple shot after the umps gave Davis a free kick. It's hard to believe he's come from the rookie list to a player that is gradually firming his spot in the top 18 since the beginning of the year.
He just needs to be more careful with giving away free kicks - that one he gave to Davis was silly and we were lucky Davis missed.

Yep. It's the biggest problem with his game.

Charlie, look, he's bloody good at everthing else. Tell me who's perfect! Actually no don't .. we'll be here for days reading the replies. But to summarize - he's one exciting footy player. And sooo great to see Ben Fixter back, with a hunger in his eye.

Isn't the best kick of the footy I have seen. But yep, he is an exciting young fellow... I love having him out there on the ground. And I love that he let Leon know about it when he missed that gift.
Kind of worrying that Lokan looked a lot faster than him on the lead...
Edit: not worrying... just, ummm... suprised?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Of course, but he's in the team to improve. Discipline is one area where he can improve; as a backman he has a responsibility to improve it.
I think you'll find I don't join in the raptures over young guys too often. I think you'd see what I mean if you go back to this time last year and read some of my posts on Schneider.

A couple of pies tried to rough him up a bit in a tackle, he just got up and carried on as if nothing had happened. Others would have had a go back at them and possibly been penalised for it!
Bevan - a very handy footballer and is only in his first senior season. He seems to be getting better at keeping his feet and has great second efforts, and has genuinely improved in his awareness of what is around him. Looks likely to continue to improve.

I warmed to him very quickly. You've gotta love Schneiderman, but I'm not willing to gloss over his faults in awe of his good points. There needs to be balance.
There were still criticisms I had of him in his matches this year. He tends to be irresponsible with the way he blazes away.
Having said that... WE NEED HIM BACK!!!

I agree. It's way too early to say yet (although I think I did somewhere else) but he is the most Kelly-like player we have in our squad. Some raw talent that needs guiding, lots of energy and courage, and seems to be a useful contributor.
