Did anyone see a Pies player completely elbow Gemma out of the way when we had the banner up?
We had our banner on the ground and they just ran straight in our direct as if to say "Who are you? Get out of our way." We held our rops on the ground so that they could run over then. Then Gemma gets collected by an elbow.
Apparently you could see it on the telecast as well.
I think the player was Scott Burns from memory.
Did anyone else see it?

Did anyone see the write-up we have been getting the Sun Herald AFL column on Sunday. Basically for those of you interstate or who didn't see the column a couple of weeks back, it basically had a whinge as to why our banners were so much smaller than the interstate squads'. Cathy was quoted as saying that we were sticking to guidelines whilst the Melbourne squads have not at the SCG. Unlike Melbourne the SCG Trust does not measure banner sizes, so you can get away with blue murder if you want to.
From what I heard from Beaussie, the AFL were there measuring the Pies' banner on Saturday night. Ours was bigger than normal, but I think it was all fine.
Was great to get a cheer when we were out on the ground. The banners have never received applause until this year.
I'd like to take a higher profile with everything to do with the Cheer Squad next year. More pictures, wittier slogans. But that requires people to give the banner crew a hand from time to time.

PS:- Was also nice to be given enough time to raise the thing and show it to all sections of the crowd. Which was unlike the Bulldogs game where the players ran through it whilst it was facing the Members area.
