    Good point.

#14 is a highly regarded number at the club though, so I really wouldn't want to see just anybody wearing it. CoughSchneidercoughcough

Watching Bevan out there today reminded me of Wade Chapman in his prime - if he can turn out to be an injury free Wade Chapman, I for one will be a very happy man

Bevan actually edged out Schneider for the Rams B&F back in 2001 (albeit playing more games) so the ability was clearly there. He was too young to get drafted that year and his next at u18 level he played much of the season injured and struggled. Tough for him but absolute stroke of luck for the Swans since that probably played a part in the club picking him up so cheaply.

A lot of credit must go to the Roos and his team as well for giving the likes of Bevan and Schneider the confidence to play like veterans in their first senior years. Two sensational players who are going to give us lots of pleasure for many years methinks.

That sounds ok, except for the fact that we've already got a "Chopper" in the team.

Not only was his goal important, but soon after it, it made another run forward which resulted in Barry Hall having the winning shot on goal. The kid is something special

I'd say his goal was our turning point. He's such a tough little player and has taken the opportunity to play in seniors by the scruff.

Schneider was huffing and puffing quite a bit, I guess to be expected after such a long lay off, but was carrying a bit more weight than normal ... I thought at one stage he came off injured, but he was only out of breath ! We really need him to be at his peak in match fitness to play his best.
