Any chance of a hint about how the years polling is going? I seem to vote from a pool of about six players each week.

Sorry mate, according to the rules agreed upon when the TLM was started, the votes remain secret until the end of the season, when they are released over a period of a couple of weeks.

          Charlie,
It's not always possible to log on and vote (believe it or not there are some parts of the country where they don't have internet access, that coupled with the fact I don't have a laptop and even sometimes forget to vote). Is it possible to "retro" vote in the matches I (or anyone else) has missed?

            Unfortunately not, sorry.

Back when the TLM was conducted through e-mail, that was possible. With the way it is done now, though, I'm only able to have one week open at a time. So when it becomes time to open the next match, by necessity the other one is closed.

Now, someone ask me something that I can say 'yes' too...

              Hey Charlie, on another point

despite my well known hatred of all things Melbourne (just stirring !)

Great turn out down at Optus on Saturday, couldnt get there so watched on TV seemed as though half the ground was wearing R&W.

Fantastic, especially in the seating circumstances, any guess on numbers (us) ? Do you think the MBH & TM influence had an effect or just the lack off games till that point ?

Serious question im interested to see if you are coming round to the work they are doing.

Mark - Optus Oval regularly looks like that for Swans matches. The reason for that is that the majority of Swans fans - those that get in - are concentrated in the Legends Stand, rather than the bigger grounds where they are spread out throughout the ground. We OWN that Legends Stand though. I'd LOVE to see the Swans crowds concentrated into certain areas at all grounds, but for as long as a Swans membership entitles you only to a GA area seat, that won't happen.

I would say that the actual numbers at Optus on Saturday weren't any higher than usual, only that they were more noticable. It's quite possible, even likely, that because of the limited seating there were less there than would be at the MCG or Docklands. Optus was sold out an hour before the game (despite there being 7,000 unoccupied member's seats ), and considering that many fans buy GA tickets because of the relatively low value of a membership, Swans fans would have been missing out.

I've seen rumblings from both Richard Colless and Paul Roos (who in Saturday's Age said it would be nice for the fans to have 8 or 9 games in Victoria) in the Herald-Sun and Age here in the past two weeks. That's a good thing, but at the moment, they are still only words. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it; words are only words, only matches will actually achieve anything in Melbourne.

Yeah saw that piece, thought you would be pleased. If it means we either lose a Brisbane or Perth/Adl game im very much for it. Cant imagine they are pushing for a reduced number of home games so take your "until it happens" point !

I know we have had a good turn out at Optus over the last few years but there just seemd more on Saturday ! Admittedly hard to tell on the TV.

On a couple of those points we can lead the answer back to Tony Morwood.

Those caps have been to a great effect, even for people who aren't wearing a swans shirt or guernsey.

And also on the hopeful increase of games in Melbourne - if there is an increase, or at least not playing at Carlton or Geelong, we can thank Tony for that too.

The caps are in both Sydney and Melbourne - that idea did not necessarily come from Tony Morwood; although it may well have done.

The operative word with regards to Morwood and matches is if. If having Morwood in the office gives us more matches, fantastic. But it has not as yet.

                        One last bump.

If you are still intending to vote, you need to do it by tomorrow afternoon.

Why is it that when i go to log in to vote it comes up with MSN people that have logged in on the computers?

I'm sposing I should have paid more attention in IT class, but it just seems like a weird system.

After clicking on the link to vote, it directs me to put in my username for the site, as options it has the names of people's email addresse's from when they logged onto my MSN, it has this on every computer I vote on.

                              Hope that is better explained.
