    The Revenge of Scott Stevens

    From the 'tiser

His recent history will also help us, we'll know how to play him.

Knowing our luck he'll have a day out as Ryan Fitzgerald did.
      (5 goals?)
A bit of physical pressure should sort him out.

        Nothing doing here.

Port were playing a West Adelaide team with a bigger injury list than ours was 4 or 5 weeks ago. He hadn't done much against the better SANFL teams in the prior weeks. He won't get near it.

I think he is big enough and ugly enough to overcome this , if it arises.

I seem to think back to when Mick Martyn played on him a couple of years back and he took Martyn to the cleaners before going off injured.

PHe wouldn't be on the list if he sucame to those pressures, no player at any club would.

If Stevens plays they will be playing one short.

Has as much chance of biting us on the bum as Paris Hilton has of biting me on the bum.

He has kicked bags of 3 goals this year against other teams, cant see why he couldn't do it against us.

Just say he kicks 3 goals...would you consider that to be biting us on the bum?

If not what is your definition of bitting us on the bum? What sort of stats does he need to rack up?

I don't think that anything he does against us - if he plays - constitutes him "biting us on the bum". I struggle to see how he would fit into our team, even earlier with lots of injuries. Nicks and O'Keefe are probably playing the role that he might have filled but are doing it more effectively than he showed he was capable of doing.

He has hardly been a regular in a struggling Crows team this year, but to the extent he is getting some chances to play, good luck to him. I'd rather see him getting a go there than languishing in Canberra.

I thought the split was fairly amicable, there didn't seem to be any hard feelings at the time (not that I would really know, but just looking in from the outside...). If he plays well, I'd say it would have more to do with proving the Adelaide coach/selectors right than the Sydney ones wrong, afterall, he hasn't been a regular in the Crows side this year, and you'd think he'd relish the chance, particularly on a ground he knows fairly well. Although there would always be that desire to prove the Sydney people wrong (although I don't think they ever denied his talent, just the opportunities that would come his way if he stayed). Good thing is, he grew up as a Crows supporter!

Let's just hope he doesn't get as much satisfaction out of the game as Stafford did recently.

But that was a split that wasn't as amicable - but a great move for Stafford's career.
