Given that Roos' sons must be at least 10 year away from draft age, that gives plenty of time for Roos to reach the target.

So all we need is for Roosy to stay with the swans for another 2 and a half years, and we have his kids tied up... cool that alone would probabley be worth his salery I think. We could do with two gunn CHB right now come to think of it.

Doesn't this mean that the Lions would have first choice???

        Or

He could argue that he didn't play for Brisbane!!

Thought that applied to the son actually....meaning that for instance Dylan Roos can not be registered by Collingwood, but then try and invoke the F & S rule to play for Brisbane or Sydney?

I've never really understood the father/son rule. If the criteria have been met, and say Sydney wanted to draft someone who would usually go first round pick as a second/third round choice, are other clubs not allowed to pick the kid up earlier? What if the second round pick comes around and the club have changed their mind (or is this not allowed?).

Has to meet the criteria and be nominated prior to the draft. (I think there is a date in place that F & S nominations have to be submitted).

They technically live outside the draft, the pick is a cheap trade really. (Well if the son is good lol).

The scary thing is that the Kangaroos can probably fill a whole team with Carey progeny by the time the Roos boys are ready to join us.

The son must also accept the nomination (just like a trade). There is nothing compulsory about it.

Nor does on club have priority over another (like the youngest Cloke, if both Richmnd and Collingwood want him he gets to choose, as did his brothers before him)

So if Roos does qualify his boys for both clubs then it is up to the kids to choose which offer (if any) they accept.

Just wondering, there's an Andrew Browning playing for QLD u/18s is this Mark Browning's son?

Mark Browning is coaching QLD u/18s too I think.

North acknowledged this with Andrew Krakouer and picked someone more suited to need, Collingwood might seem to have too many Clokes and Shaws.
Unfortunately I don't think they have too many Clokes. They got dudded by the Shaws, though!

just think, a couple of years after the Roos boys are old enough to play, we'll have some Kelly's, Dunkley's and Luff's coming of age too.

He has four girls, all blonde and looking like their mother (a VERY good thing).

Maybe a Grandfather/Grandson rule? Or marry them to PK and PR's boys and breed a super generation?
