    Weather

Looks pretty crapola at the moment, unnervingly similar to the Tigers game.

No rain at the SCG yet. Hoping it clears.

where are you? it's been p112ing down all night! unless the scg has grown a roof it will be wet.

hopefully no actual rain during game but the ground will be wet.

It is definately raining at the SCG now. Doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon.

I live in Centennial Park. My view is the SCG lol.

Light raining just started now, roads are wet again. It rained all last night, but has been very good this morning.

While the newspapers say early showers clearing, the latest report from the BOM (11.30 am) is showers increasing to rain periods tonight.

On and off rain today(& tonight) fortunatly the SCG has good drainage so a few hours of dry weather before the game all should be fine
Unfortunatly BoM update doesnt look to promising with the rain coming in from the NE BoM Sydney forecast for tonight

Some years ago they dug the ground up to a depth of a metre or more (two?) laid ag-drainage everywhere & then put it all back together again. You are spot on Glenn, a few hours is all it takes to drain through, and a light zephyr will dry off the top.

Hell, remember the prehistoric bogs at centre and goalsquare of not so many years ago?? I'm sure there is a full back or two still buried deep in there courtesy of one Mr T "Plugger" Lockett.

Thanks for the update Mr Bailey, with your weather reporting skills I'm wondering if you are related to tiny Tim, who is also a Tasmanian.

How do you get a job doing weather by the way?, I was watching Sami Lukas get a massage the other week while doing the weather, I could handle that job!

Back to my weather report: The clouds look very bad at the moment, but the roads have dried again....

                          BoM weather radar

The weather radar on the BoM site is also worth a look for those worried about rain. It's especially useful for those like me who don't live in Sydney.
