Fixter at this stage is the only omission at this stage hamstring again(does anyone know how serious it is) inclusions are Dempster, thewlis, fosdike and monty (at this stage)

I wouldn't say Fixter was unfit on his return. He played a few weeks in the 2's and was doing very well down there. They actually nursed him along very conservatively from what we saw

Hmm, misses 2years with injurys and all you do for a base on your return is a couple of weeks in the 2's whats the use of a pre-season if thats all you need as a fitness base to play league footy.

I hope soreness is all it is but the clubs never reported the truth in regards to injurys why start now

Obviously he would have been working on his fitness leading up to his return. What would you have them do. Leave him out until next year to get a full pre season in.

Your view from WA of the 2's games must be pretty good.

Nothing to do with Fixter being unfit.

He has not played for almost two years, you are going to expect after the bang and crash of league footy (and some travelling to play) that his body is going to be a bit sore.

Only listed as hamstring soreness so should either get the week off ready for next week or a quiet run in the seconds.

If we are going to have Fixter for the finals campaign this year he needed to play the last couple of weeks to get his body used to the work. Expect him to get another run for a couple and then a rest, then a full tilt at the end of the year.

Well your view of the 2's from the sidelines at the 2's must have been real good too lady! HARUMPH!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Now now play nicely, I would of had him play 8 weeks in the 2's then had him in the league side, that would of given a month to finish his modified program and another to play full bottle to build a soild base.

sorry if I over reacted to the first post but he was playing very well in the reserves (2's for you Stella ) and thought you were having a go.

I just don't think he really would have benefited from spending much more time down there as he really was over the standard. His running game was going well and heis class was just shining thru. I guess my opinion goes along with Roosy's opinion as reported in Fridays Telegraph, of bring up Schneider immediately. Had to do it to get the desired results.

But apologies DPW, play the ball not the player and all that..... I wish you could sit beside me at the ressies games instead of being an entire continent away.

No offence taken thats why I did not hit back at you as it seemed out of character for you I guess we all have bad days for what its worth I too wish I was not so far away.

Was really upset as Iam a fan of Fixters and now it looks like I wont get to see him play in person this year, will be interesting to see if it is just hamstring soreness or not.
