    Show some faith swans fans

I am a new member in this forum and mainly only read what other people have to say but lately i havent been happy with the posts i have been reading. It seems like every single person in this forum seem to rate the swans in the class of Hawthorn or Richmond lately (exagerating abit) just because our form hasnt been as good as last year.

If i remember last year it only took us 2 good wins against Brisbane and Collingwood and we where the form team of the comp all year. I think if we can knock of Freo this week it will build alot of confidence in the team especially winning over there.

It only takes one good win to change things and then if we can knock off Brisbane we will have a fare shot at winning this competition even if we do come 5th or 6th.

LETS SO SOME FAITH IN OUR BOYS GUYS

i will be interested with your replies

One good win doesn't change things much - look at our St Kilda win, it didn't seem to change a great deal.

No one is rating the Swans as a bottom 4 side, but rather as a middle-of-the-road side, yet again!!

Faith is meaningless - actions are what matter.

Yes, we seem to get ourselves down and seem to keep going lower sometimes.
I would like to see more encouragement and support - maybe even a fax to the team to encourage them, particularly those who did play well.
Bit tired to trade talks - getting closer now I realise - but we have had trade talks on this site since February for end of this year.
      Love those Swans

I agree with BigSteve. But why are people on RWO so negative. Because sadly at this club even when we are successful there is always the feeling that abject failure is just around the corner. This leads to an overall feeling of melancholy around the place, especially after we all had our hearts teased by the successes of last season.

Trying to lift a club with a low self-esteem ain't easy. But we are still up there fighting and should have beaten Geelong. We are more than capable of beating Fremantle.

So how about believing in your club and thinking that we are going to win for a change. We should beat the Dockers!

                Firstly, define success.

Secondly, abject failure has been just around the corner of anything that can be remotely defined as success for so long that no one can remember otherwise.

But we are still up there fighting and should have beaten Geelong. We are more than capable of beating Fremantle.

But this is the whole thing - we should have beaten Geelong - but we didn't. We believed in the club and thought we would win before that game (and Melbourne and Richmond and Essendon) but we didn't. This is a pattern that goes on forever.

And you wonder why people get frustrated with the club.

The people here who have followed the Swans for decades probably wish they'd been brought up to follow a successful side, but they haven't. Therefore they are stuck with following the Swans as that's the way it has been. So, it's not really possible to just pack up and leave, as some will suggest. But how about instead, the club actually produce some ongoing success for a change.

No way am i leaving the red and the white, I love them too much for that.

It's just frustrating following a team that always promises so much yet fails to deliver year after year.

We have been taken on an emotional rollercoaster for too long now and i am ready to just get off for a week or two to recover as i am feeling ill these days.

I think i am just going through footy depression atm.

actually this whole season i have felt down.

although we have had no real sucess (premierships), surely you can see the massive culture change this club has had over the past 10 years. (training facilities, professionalism, regular finals appearences, etc.) I for one think it is only a matter of time before we crack the big one! Being a swans follower and sometimes member for nearly 40 years this is probably the most positive i have ever been about our future. It may not happen this year but it will happen.

Now with the off field things out of the way, lets change some of the on field things if we are going to win a flag or two sometime in the near future eh.

We can start with fossie eh.

Maybe the Swans should have the letters 'mls' emblazoned across their jumpers

This year - its the ultimate in optimism, and just above the ultimate in silliness too, but hey, nothing wrong with hoping and dreaming right????

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
