Roos said that if Buchanan wouldn't of been injured, Schneider would of come back through the reserves. He has also said that Goodes will play because at 80% he is better than our younger options.

I read Roos reasoning too, but we had a very handy player in McGlone waiting in the wings and believe me he's fully fit. The kid runs all day!

I really rate Schneids but his fitness is shot and if the others aren't fit enough to come straight back then neither was he. I hope he steps up and proves me wrong this weekend.

I also hope Davo kicks butt in Canberra this weekend. I can't wait for him to take his place in the senior side.

He will probably just coast along with the Saddo "too good for this bush league" attitidue.

I am concerned about Nicky D playing in Canberra, all the justification for the 2's playing in Canberra seems to be based around "it ain't skillful, but it's full of big thugs!".
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I am very surprised at Roos reasoning. The longer in the job, the more he reasons like Eade. Does "playing an established player with 80% of fitness is better than playing a youngster" sound all familiar? And yeah, we all are too familiar with the quote "injuries could not get any worse". I dont know what kind of pressures he is under lately but it is appalling that Roos is heading down Eade's path.

All clubs are under the same pressure. If the likes of Voss or Hird are any remote chance of playing Matthews and Sheedy will play them.

Hmmm, definitely not an easy decision to make whether to send an injured player back out the following week, but maybe they get caught up in the moment .... If Nick Davis hadn't played again the week following the ankle injury then he may not have had to take the next 8 or so weeks out as well !!

Totally agree. I have no doubt in my mind that Nicky D played those games because Micky O wasn't there, and I have a lingering doubt as to whether Nicky D was actually fitter than Micky O was at the time...
