    Saddington Vs Goodes

I was just thinking that in the back line for the Swans, it has basically been a case of Saddington out, Goodes in.
So if you had to choose between a slightly injured Adam Goodes and an almost Key Postion Player in Jason Saddington, Which one would you choose.
In other words, if you could have goodes in the back line this week as he has been on average for the last five weeks, or have Saddo in the back line as he was for the first part of the year, which would you choose ??

With the form he was in and Goodesy injuries id go Saddo hands down.

Footyhead thank you for once posing a good question instead of the crap you have posted before.

Anyway to the question at hand, who would I rather play at CHB out of Saddo and Goodes, well none of them to be honest as I believe both are better suited away from the position. However if I had to pick I would go with Goodes everytime because of his size and abilty. Regardless boths major weakness is the man on man stuff, Saddo is too small and Goodes isn't really able to on one leg.

Still they are good back options to have regardless.
      Once was, now elsewhere

I'd prefer neither, but with Goodes injured and not fully mobile then I'd take Saddington, but with a fully-fit Goodes I'd take Goodes.

Goodes is still learning his trade at CHB imho, but I'd leave him there ftb. Saddo was doing OK up forward - I'd leave him there too, perhaps swapping around with Nicks and Ablett.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Remember that Saddo was playing wing/forward in his last few games and kicking a few goals. So who would you prefer 30 metres out 45 degree angle?

I'd like BOTH Saddo and Goodes in the backline (I've been noticing AG alot more again in the last couple of games), with Bevan released into the midfield.

Some minor points. No Davis? Schneider, Bevan, Fosdike all on bench. Too short, you need a backup tall in addition to Doyle, so would probably have to put James on the bench. Who of those three you drop is debatable, probably only Bevan would be safe on current form.

I would like to see the team something like:

                    FB: Crouch Schauble C.Bolton
                    HB: Saddington Goodes Barry
                    C: Kennelly Williams Mathews
                    HF: O'Keefe Hall Davis
                    FF: Buchanan O'Loughlin Nicks
                    Fol: Ball Kirk J.Bolton
                    Int: Doyle Maxfield Bevan James
                    Em: Schneider Fosdike McVeigh

Not that we're likely to ever see this anyway.

my team list was solely based around goodesy and saddo for saturday's game and how they would line up if saddo was in the team... nothing to do with the rest of the team really. not my best 22

like it guv'ner like it. i'd like to see hall playing full-forward and leading out of the goal-square on larger grounds though. he's brilliant in the crowd of the scg at half-forward, but i think his role gets confused on larger grounds. i reckon nicks would be worth a try at CHF and o'keefe another option as he plays taller than his stature.

I reckon schneider has to be tried in the middle soon. even if it's to run some condition into the tubby bugger
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

well when saddington is back goodes should be fully fit..

but if i have to choose id take saddington cos goodes is looking stuffed.

If they are both fit id take saddington out of the two... but i think id rather move both!
