The umpiring turned pathetic in the 2nd half of the 2nd quarter, but regardless of the umpiring, playing the way we have in the first half, we wouldn't beat Hawthorn playing with 12 players.

Turnovers galore, no structure going forward, inability to hit a target and constantly sitting the ball on the head of the leading player making it simple for the Freo defender to spoil. VERY ordinary - you'd think they were just playing out the season, not playing a mini-final against a fellow finals contender.

    fellow finals contender ??

Swans are being beaten in every aspect of the game. We are being out-muscled and out-hassled off the ball. We are losing nearly every marking contest. We are being forced to make rash decisions with the ball and we have absolutely no forward set-up when the ball does get past the centre line. And the umpires are absolutely destroying any chance we have of keeping within striking distance.

        um none FL

Also the free that BBH gave away that resulted in a 50m penalty wasn't even a freaking free.

Even when we do show signs of getting on top of them they just turn into dismal efforts - as mentioned before we're being outplayed all over the field and Goodes shouldn't even be playing *sigh*

I'm just sitting here shaking my head especially when I see the FK count and then the commentators statements about our senior players should stand up - how can we stand up if they're being pushed in the back, being pinned for holding the ball when they don't have prior opportunity?

The best moment was when a ball up occurred in the centre of the field and Amon had the ball and was wrapped up by a Freo player - right when he was about to get up the player gave him a nice forearm in the head.

        *sigh*

Yet because I am a loyal SS supporter I'll sit here and watch this match till the very end *ick*

If it was any other player than Barry Hall, I would guarantee that wouldn't have been a free. He gets such a rough ride its ridiculous.

The disgrace about that was the umpire was on the open side of that - its not like his view was obstructed by players' bodies because he was on the blind side of the contest.

Besides the umpiring being unbelievably biased the truth is the Swans are CRAP! I honestly don't think they care. Roos needs a wake up call to stop praising them and point out some home truths. Goodes, Schneider, Ablett, maxfield shouldn't be there. And if Roos doesn't speak out about the umpring this week I'll scream. All those supporters who don't have access to Fox or a radio call are lucky. I wish I had the guts to just turn it off. My cat who I was nursing as I watched it is a nervous wreck.

That pretty well sums it up actually.

I know I was thinking you are right in front of it and nothing comes about it. Especially when Amon touched his forehead - though when the Wiz who shouldn't have been playing today, touches his forehead he gets a free kick and just tells the Swans players off.

Thank God we're not getting the half time commentary - we're getting the news instead here <g> Because I can do without 15 mins of blatant abuse towards the Swans

Maxfield at least is trying, can't say the same for the others though - if it wasn't for his bouncing through goals we'd be stuck on 4 <g>

Yes well spotted Ugg - it was Bell who did that.

Wilson the idiot has just said "most of our LUCK has come from stoppages" - WTF is he on?

I always knew he was an idiot but today confirmed it.

100% on the money. We look crap and are playing insipid, boring football. The turnovers are killing us and our field kicking is very ordinary.
The St Kilda game was the last time I remember us looking half decent

Agree - the club should back him on this as well and tell him to let rip and then sit back and wait for yet another call from Gieschen on Monday morning.
