Is it too much to ask...

That umpires NOT HAVE AN AFFECT ON OUR MATCHES?

Surely, its not SO HARD for the AFL to find 32 umpires who can call a game down the middle and apply the same rules to both teams in the one match?

    Is it?

IMHO there really hasn't been alot in it - we've been getting what we deserve for being 2nd to the ball and leaving controlled aggression behind for utter frustration.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Yes. Not saying the umpires have made 34 points worth difference.

But the fact is, TOO OFTEN we have crappy decisions to point to. Like today. Farmer and Cook got gift frees. Hall barely touched Hadrill, and copped 50 for pointing that out. A Freo player punches O'Keefe, and nothing.

Simply, the rules are not being applied evenly to both sides. It's appalling.

Bell just throws himself forward as soon as he is tackled - its a joke that they get sucked in by it.

Can't see Freo getting these sorts of frees anywhere else.

I have never walked away from a Swans game for anything other than medical reasons.

But I'm seriously wondering how much of the second half I'm going to be able to stomach.

How the hell do they expect people to want to watch their team systematically reamed?!?

This would have to be one of the most one-sided umpiring I have ever seen.

                    An absolute joke this is.

And I am a level two umpire.

                    Just a few ...

                    Crouch / Farmer incident?

The two holding the ball decisions IN A ROW (Schneider wasn't being held was he umpire?)

                    The ruck contests.

O'Loughlin and Hall constantly being held.

We seriously cannot do a thing right, on the ground or with the decisions.

Nice to see Headland having a little chat then a pat on the back to umpire 23 at 1/2 time.

Thanks, Roos, for yhis poor display. The Swans are the most overrated team in the competition. Pathetic.

Earlier on, I would have agreed with Mike's statements about being second to the ball resulting in us giving away more free kicks. But late in that 2nd quarter, the holding the balls and the incidental contact decisions have left be absolutely speechless. If they want to pay those, that's fine, but at least have some consistency and give some to us as well.

I'm pretty sure the free kick count was 8-0 in the quarter.

****ing bull****, just bull**** these ****ing umpires are just bull****. I'm with Charlie - is it too much to ask to get 3 umpires to umpire a match right down the middle. I don't know what we have done to cop this **** but I tell you its about time someone at the club tipped a ****ing bucket on the umpring department because whats the point of turning up when you aren't given a fair go by the umps. Its making me sick.

16 to 5 thats just not bloody fair, right or whatever.

When I made those comments, it was early in the 2nd, when I thought the umpiring was reasonable. But the 2nd half of the 2nd quarter was diabolical.

Can we get Peter Schwab back as head of umpiring now he's leaving Hawthorn? Jeff Gieschen should be sacked!!!!
