    Sydney v Brisbane

This game is now really worrying me, just looking at the way they are demosishing Adelaide is scary.

I think we will be belted out of the SCG next week if we continue to play like we have.

For the second time today, please please please can we not post things, at least on the main Swans board, about games that are currently being played but that won't be shown on TV in Sydney for a few hours yet. I know that you've not said anything that is unexpected, but would still be nice to watch at least the first quarter with an expectation that it might be a decent contest.

Was just about to post a similar message. Spoiler space...

With 8:30 to go, they're up by 125, having kicked 18 goals after half time - 10.1 in the 3rd quarter and 8.3 so far in the 4th.

Their skills are just brilliant - it looks like a training run, although it virtually is uncotested footy as Adelaide are a rabble.

They are really starting their run towards flag #4, and they are specials for it IMHO.

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Liz, this is the game on Fox Footy which means it won't be on FTA here in Sydney.

I get the feeling we will put up a pretty good contest regardless of the result - we always seem to lift for games against top ranked clubs. But why oh why does it need to be a situation like that to bring out the best from us????

Saints won by 100 points the 2 weeks before we beat them by 6 goals. Don't be scared.

On Arter the Game they are saying that Aker may be in a bit of strife from an elbow he dished out to a crows player.

We can live in hope, surely

We had won the two games leading into the Saints match and were totally primed to be the first to beat them in 2004 and the Saints in a way were crying out to be beaten (not saying they laid down and died btw)

We seem to like the backs against the wall CRAP - so yeah I guess we can win, but the Swans are suggesting no logical reasons for it.

Fair enough - my mistake. Thought it was the only game on this evening and thus assumed it would be the late night C10 game.

However, my request about not posting the results of other games on the main Swans board - at least until they are well and truly done and dusted - stands. I'm still a bit pissed about having the result of the Bombers Saints game posted at 11pm last night.

The other thing we can hope for apart from Aker is that Leppitsch and Charman who were both injured tonight can't make it on the field next weekend.

I think, the rest of season now is purely academic. Cannt see us to win it from here, particularly after being outplayed, outtalented by Geelong and Fremantle. We should use the remaining of the season to sort out the list. Give Dempster, McGlone and Thewlis a game to see where they stand. Give Goodes a rest and play James in his place to see if it fits him. Schauble is now back and thus James will not be required in the last line of defence. Play Doyle at first ruck instead of backup. His knees scare the hell out of me. Hard decisions must be taken at the end of the season. It is better to go through this process knowing every single things we need about our players, everyone of them.

Agree there we need to start looking to next year and some of the players that we may trrade/delist etc because on current form, I can't even see us making the finals, not with the run home that we have. BUT, if we do make the finals, we might actually have a decent run of form going, because we will have to win probably 4 of our last 5 to make it.
