Has anyone heard about the seriousness of injuries to Charman and Leppitsch, also do we think Acker will go for his Elbow?

We need luck. Sure we have shown in the past we can match them, but the way they destroyed the crows last night and the way we are going atm plus our injuries we will get thumped.

Lets hope Roos and his posse put in as much preperation into this game as they did for the st kilda game.

Maybe them wearing the bears first strip might jinx them!

Didnt realise they were wearing the old strip this week, from memory in the past when leppitch plays he has gone forward alot against us and caused real trouble,i dont think he played in either of the home and away wins against them last year, and hopefully Charman will miss as we will struggle with their mobile talls, and well for obvious reasons no swan wants to see Acker out there.

Charman will possibly miss the rest of the season and Leppa is unlikely for the next two weeks, has a possible fractured vertebrae. Charman has done the PCL.

so I calculate that makes us 1/17th better off .. hmmm .. not sure that's mathematically a huge diff against Lions.

I didn't see the game - how did this happen? Was it a similar knee on knee collision to Goodes'.

That makes Gardiner, Charman, McDonald all as quality ruckmen with bad PCL injuries - and of course Goodsey with a minor one.

Charman was injured at a centre bounce. He was very upset ( naturally} but the Lions will have THE FINALS MAN Keating back in 2 weeks . He does not play much during the year and always returns to star in the Finals. The Lions have lost their no 2 and 3 ruckmen but still have 1 and 4 ( McLaren) . It would be nice to have that depth.
