Ok I thought Doyle did reasonably well.
Rucking was ok, and he seems to have a bit of pace around the packs which suprises me.
Marking is very ordinary though. Surely that can be taught.
As a kick in target he's just a 50/50 bet.

I thought he did stuff all again.

Doyle has shown in the past that he can mark.It has to be a confidence thing. He should be doing extras to get it right as he does get his hands to the ball in packs quite often he just spills them.

Nuh-uh, it was without doubt his best effort yet! But then again, did any of the boys play badly on the night? A rising tide - as they say - lifts all ships, eh NMWBloods??

Yeah - I just watched the game again. He was okay, but not good. Rising tide argument is definitely applicable here. He gets his hand on the ball when rucking a lot, but needs to something more with it. Also needs to do a bit more around the ground. Has some potential - hopefully he achieves it.

I thought he was poorly treated by the umpires at the centre bounces. At almost every contest the opposing ruck jumped into him with no intention of going for the ball. When he starts to get his hands on the footy during games we seem to get it out of the centre more often.

Last week was the best for clearances all season, and I can't help think that Ball and Doyle had a lot to do with this.
