    Last week/this week

    Last week...

Swans are doomed to slide down the ladder
    Need to delist post haste
Roos is looking like an Eade clone
The 5 year plan should be scrapped

    likely this week...

    Swans are genuine flag contenders
We need to keep all our players
    Roos is our saviour
The 5 year plan is working well

I love how much a week can change the feel of this board

    LOL

Mind you this year includes brilliant spinetingling wins over St.Kilda and Brisbane.

......and a loss to Richmond that had me wanting to murder people on my way home.

.....and a thriller against 2004 powerhouse woodenspooners Hawthorn .

Very inconsistent...how can you tell if anything is working on this rollercoster called the Sydney Swans??!!

I guess we just sit back and watch what the hell they are going to serve up next!

Ah yes - the magical Sydney rollercoaster. Just posted something to that effect on BF.

Who knows what we'll do from week to week.

We're not that far behind last year. Most of the decline can be attributed to injury. An injury-plagued side is an unsettled side, and unsettled sides tend to lose more games. If we win 13 games this year we would have been the same as last year because our draw is one game tougher this year.

Which is pretty much a description of what we had last year, once the slow start to the season was behind us.

Take one superstar out of a team with lots of solid to good players but not many stars and you're going to have a team that struggles a bit from week to week but is still capable of testing the best. And that is exactly what has happened to Sydney this year.

The difference is poor disposal and injury.

A clanger count of 23-6 at Qtime against Freo meant that the pressure we applied in the 1stQ was wasted. Make that 10-6 and we may have had them by the short and curlies.

I've actually never used two over at BF.

The reason for the second z dates back to when this board was set up ages ago and user names had to have at least four characters. For some reason I then carried it forward even when this was no longer a requirement.

Just happened to be chatting with MikeB at the aftermatch yesterday and changing user names came up in the conversation. I commented that I'd change mine if I could because I figured the second z was a bit pretentious - and Mike offered to do it for me.

Nothing sinister nor very interesting. Next...
