    how boring

How boring it is to see every body bar up over one win over the premiers at the SCG - A toy ground, on which the best teams can only hope to come away with a lucky win.
It should be considerd a triffel till we can expect to beat every team week in week out, on whatever ground.
Right now we can only expect to beat anybody when our team is on song.
If people, think this is the way to premeirship glory this year or next, think again.
of course if we convincingly win the next two weeks, I reserve my judgment, but I still have my doubts.

This is the case for virtually all sides, particularly at finals time.
If people, think this is the way to premeirship glory this year or next, think again.
Yep, winning by playing at your best is the way to win a flag. Improving the quality of the team helps too, but if you don't play at your best you'll never win a flag.

Do you believe what you post or are you just trying to get under peoples skin?If supporters of any team don't get excited about thrashing possibly the best team of all time then what is the point of following footy?

          Tend to agree with Barry.

Fine, make a negative post or two, and be pessimistic, but when just about every post is negative, you start wo wonder what the point it.

Are you really a Swans fan or are you posing as one just to annoy real Swans supporters ? Your views are very similiar to one of the Swans haters from Big Footy

We won't win the flag this year, but the reason for that is the side has been decimated by injuries for most of the season. When we're playing with only 16 fit players and another 6 either carrying an injury or lacking match fitness, then our form is going to be patchy, and this is exactly what we have seen this year.

If we had a good year with injuries, anything is possible.

My philosophy is that you need to learn from your losses and your wins. I am hoping that Roos is smart enough to do just this, and that the victory on Saturday will mean much more to the team.

But we'll see. It certainly wasn't boring to be at the game

Listian here ye folks, when we have a premeirship team, or even a truely strong team like Bris, Melb, Sainters or even Port (yuk I hate them but they deserve their due), You will see no more supportive member!
But this kind of Hot and cold crap playing well only when your the under dogs with your backs against the wall, is just not good enough and people should be demanding more and I am not happy that you all get so excited about such a lucky win on a tiny home ground with one of the most one sided crowds in the league.
If we had Freos team or the Roos' or Essendon's or west coasts', I would be saying the same thing. These are not impressive teams.
Just cos we can sneak up and win one againts the top teams fairly often, isnt that great.
The Western Sydney Bulldogs have been doing this for years, and they are another crap team who's long suffering supporters should be ashamed of.
Oh and I am not a troll I am someone who grew up with football and have played a fair bit of it and seen a lot of different aspects of the game and known a lot of different supporters from many clubs and leagues, and although I think the growth in support for the Swans, in terms of numbers and peoples understanding of the game is great, I really wish that the Swans supporters and the club and coaches would stop patting themselves on the back every time the team does somthing that they need to be able to do week in week out.
If the Swans can't be expected to win againts the top teams at home on their very peculiar little home ground (SCG), then they will never achieve what must be achieved if this club is to be considerd truely successful.
I don't think the Lions would be cheering this much if they had just taken out Melbourne at their home ground (gabba). Even if they did it to Essendon in 2000, they still had their eyes on the true prize, and I encourage everyone here to think about that.

I don't think Port have earned their stripes either, contrary to what you say. And while there is merit in the toy ground suggestion, winning home and away is important to actually get there. There is nothing 'toy' about beating Port (one of your so-called good teams), in a final on their rather large ground.

But you won't be happy Footyhead. Admit it. You'll never be happy. If you were a Lions fan you'd be ranting about Saturday night. And how could you possibly be happy if you were a Dees fan, who finish in the bottom 4 every second year and are bound for the Gold Coast, and even a Saints fan who are where they are because of their mediocrity over the past few years. And for one who talks about culture so often, is the Saints a club whose culture you admire.

wake up and smell the roses. Enjoy last Saturday night. You didn't make a single post after our win over the Saints. I'm telling ya, it feeeeels good. Give up the prozaic and take it all in.
