I remember going to that game. I remember hearing Brent Piltz described as a 'great prospect' as I was listening to a pregame interview with Colless (I believe) as I came down to Melbourne on the train.

I remember that I could have almost marked the ball, that Alessio kicked for a goal with seconds remaing, and won the game for Essendon.

I remember not listening to the radio on the train trip home.

I don't remember Brent Piltz's one handball, but I am reliably informed, that it was a clanger.

I was also at the game, definately a clanger somewhere in the middle of the ground...

Just bemused as to how no-body on this site knows anything about the kid...

I believe he was only ever a rookie listed player... and maybe just for that one year - 2001.

It's not too surprising that people don't know much about him. I can't tell you much about Luke Taylor or Nick Potter (current rookies). They may be gone at the end of the year, too.

IIRC, he was meant to be a prodigious kick, could boot it easily over 50m+

It wasn't a clanger if I remember correctly!

I'm sure he handballed to someone at CHF and they kicked a goal - don't remember who it was though...

Saw him a lot at Port Melbourne and he was a fantastic kick - left footer. Anyone who played their first game in that game - most disappointing turn around in years - was bound to be the sacrificial lamb.

Schwatta kicked about 3 OOF and at least 1 or 2 cost us a goal - and game me higher blood pressure!

I think his "clanger" was that he needlessly touched a ball that was about to go OOB untouched from a kickout.

Probably not.

I'd pay a lot of money to have what he's got though... the ability to say 'I played for the Swans'.

BTW - I was at the game and absolutely devastated, but I have no recollection of him whatsoever.

I hated that game!

Well he must have not got on that well with Rocket ! ( thats my reason why he was given the boot)

But at least he did taste the big time, if only for one game...
