When was our last 100+ point win?

By my calculations we need to beat the Kangaroos by roughly 150 to go ahead of Freo. Not likely. So when was our last huge win?

    Great question.
I was just thinking about that yesterday.
    Could it even be pre-Eade?

    EDIT: Not even close.

I'd like to see a repeat of that 2001 effort this week.

Our biggest wins under Roos (52 games, 31 wins) are by

        77 Fremantle '02
        74 Carlton '03
        68 Melbourne '02
        64 Bulldogs '03
        54 Essendon '03
        51 Kangaroos '04
        51 St Kilda '03
        47 Kangaroos '02
        40 Richmond '02

Given that in the past season and a half we've scored over 140 only once (146 against Carlton) it's hardly surprising we don't win by that much.

Haha - '87 - I remember when we beat Richmond by only 91 points and I was disappointed we didn't score 200 (198).

Of course, it all came crashing down in the next two weeks when we played the two eventual grand finalists down in Melbourne and lost by 68 and 45 pts!!

I just love how we handed Essendon their biggest ever defeat with a 13.7 last quarter

I worked with someone (who is now in WA) who was at that game. He once told me how much they booed the siren etc because it came before the 200 could. He's normally an animated fellow, but when he was telling me this sparkle in eyes and smile on his face was just great.

We can barely score over 100 this year (only 3 times), let alone win by that much

                      I would check your calculations

                      Freo: For = 1729, against = 1590
                      Swans: For = 1541, against = 1506

                      Subtracting, we get:
                      For = 188, against = 84, difference = 104

winning by 105 points or more will probably do the trick.

Still unlikely, but not as unlikely as a 150-pont margin.

It all depends as much on how much Freo will be losing their games by. We just gotta keep winning by 4-5 goals each game, and have them lose by that much each time. Still quite possible.
