    Could it be we are seeing RU and AFL clashes in Sydney this year because both are trying to avoid the Olympics ?

    Hopefully common sence will prevail next year. The AFL controls scheduling to Docklands, Subiaco so we can extlude them from outside NSW/QLD if they persist.

      Why would they care? Look at the respective crowds tonight. They have nothing to lose by scheduling their big matches against the swans.

      What does the AFL actually do in Melbourne to accomodate the ARU? I assume you mean that Telstra Dome makes itself available for a saturday night once a year. Once the AFL fixture is announced, surely it is easy enough for the ARU to pick a Saturday that the dome is not used. Does the AFL have any involvement in this at all?
