    Kick-ins

Fix the kick-ins! The Kangas had so many behinds tonight that we should have been able to work out what to do. I was anxious every time we had to kick in. The Kangas often ended up scoring 7 points instead of 1.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Surely if Davis is having a run in the midfield and we are struggling with kick ins he should be taking them instead?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Our kick ins are the worst in the comp - every other team seems to be able to occasionally at the very least move a ball with 4-5 possessions into their forward line for a shot at goal. We're lucky to have moved outside our defensive 50 with that many possessions.

Something that really needs to be worked on.

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

This has been a problem for a number of years. We might be able to spot a player wide out on the wings, but then we hesitate, no one makes a lead, and then have to bomb long to a contest.

It's disheartening to see most of the opposition do it though:

          Kick 1 - To a player inside the 50
Kick 2 - To a player just outside the 50, who then
Kicks or handballs to a running player who sets up another attack.

We're lucky if we can get it to the wing in under 5 possessions. Fight like hell to get it forward, then just let the opposition bring it back easily.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I have to admit that I thought you had gone completely insane then until I realized I misread your post and you actually want him to mark the kick-ins, not take the kick-ins

FYI Nicks has been taking most of the kick ins in the last few weeks.
