    Vintage Leo Barry

IMO last year was an abherration for this bumbling footballer.

Almost single handedly he kept them in the game up until 3Q time.

I am just stunned that a player of so many games can play such selfish football. All he wants to do is "keep" his name for being a risky player. And risky he was.

Rebound footballer my a***. Rebound fool more likely.

Thought last year's second half was too good to be true. Why was I so foolish to believe a player after all those years, could change the way he plays and become a team player. Oh the folly of my thinking. Leopards/Leos never change their spots.

My opinion. For a while there I thought Roos may have found the key to him. Everyone talks about his risk taking and the run he gives us from the backline, but he sets nothing up and is obsessed with handballing to players under pressure.

So many posters here talk about our over use of handball and Leo is right up there with the culprits.

the one thing i hate about his play is that he charges up the ground, takes a few bounces, and instead of kicking long, he stops, props, and handballs sideways, killing off any momentum he had generated.

Totally agree about the sideways handpasses that put teamates under pressure. Why wouldn't you kick long to Barry Hall in a one on one contest??

I think the whole team are to blame for overusing the ball not just one player. If there is no one leading up forward the worst thing you can do is just kick it. Anyway, he handballed it to Kirky and then Kirky turned it over. I think Leo has had a good season practically playing full back and being undersized. Do not think you comments are fair. He is definitely not selfish. Our defence are told to run the ball out. Funny how someone can have an average game and supporters are so quick to point the finger.

Funny you have not pointed the finger at Ball for deliberate out of bounds. Very silly.

Except if he is following instructions.
He doesn't HAVE to play like that, but is encouraged to by Roos.
Personally I love the way he plays.
There wass a time when he would get the ball and I would close my eyes waiting for a turnover.
I am more confident now that he will do something good with it.
