    spirit of the game

I guess I will probably cop some flak for this but here goes.
At the end of the game Mick O'Loughlin went up to Archer when he was surrounded by his team mates and gave him a hug and congratulated him on his game. When your team has just lost from the position they were in, this to me shows class.
On the fifth quarter when Laydley was interviewed he looked very somber and kept his answers short, not making a big fuss about what must have been a great win for him. I beleive that he was like that out of respect to the trainer who lost his life tonight as he must of been made aware of it.
To me they both showed true sportsmanship.

I completely agree on both points.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."

Did not know that , did not see the 5th qtr.
But yes , more class than the (few) @rseholes who booed the
"no kick to kick" even after the reason was broadcast.

RIP to the trainer - if he had to go , then that is a great way to bow out.
