The tragedy aside, and here although I think NMWBloods and Bear very harsh, I do concede their point that we had already let the Roos back into the game by the time the tragedy happened. What I want to know is why we didn't do anything to hold up the game and break their concentration EARLY in the last quarter. Whenever tough teams like ESSENDON or the poos and wees get in that position, they start a fight or king hit someone behind play to break the other team's momentum...
Why didn't we stop the rot?

What specifically did I say that was harsh?Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I just watched the replay and was one of the people on here last night going off about comments made by those not at the SGC.
In defence to everyone who made comments about the players giving the game away. We lost that match before we lost Wally. From what I could see from the telecast it was around when North got back to 7 points that people in the crowd started watching the bench and not the field. It was around the time Stuart Maxfield left the field which was just after Nick D's goal. I couldn't see him on the bench and like Bron at one stage thought it was him. So that's how I'm coming to this conclusion.
So again I apologise to anyone I did offend last night with my comments. As NMW suggested it probably wasn't a good idea for those of us who were obviously upset to come on and make comment.
The players have much to deal with this week and it may do nothing, but I'll be sending positive thoughts their way and looking forward to watching them play next week when we hit the road and travel to the Dome.
It's not over yet, just a lot harder. Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release

Interesting that we probably played some of the most attractive free flowing footy that we have played all year in the first 3/4's.
When it came time to lock the game down, we were not up to it which is something we have been very good at this year.
Concentration plays such an important part in football, for a variety of reasons we did not have it last night in the last 1/4.
Another week, another game. Let's just hope that the memories of this weeks game will be positive in memory of Wally.
With the Demons getting spanked today, it is going to be a hot footy early next week.
