Tribute Thread for Wally to be sent to the Club!

A few of us have been discussing a way to honour Wally Jackson, we could send flowers or a card but it has been suggested that we have a Tribute thread for Wally. So we will accept contributions until Weds or Thursday and will print them off and send them to the Club so it can be passed on to the family.

So please feel free to post a rememberance message here.

    I most definitely will!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Wally Jackson! :'(
To the players it is like losing a best friend. The work you have put in...... Just amazing and to come to this devastating moment, so tragic that when my mate messaged me I thought he was JOKING! You're relationships with the players would've been so close it's hard to believe this. But you'll be looking over us.

Lets hope to see the players wearing black armbands next week to show their support and care.

We LOVE you Wally! Our Head Trainer and always will be!

Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

A sad thing to happen. At least he died doing something he loved doing, and probably didn't suffer. A shock for his family and friends, and they are in our thoughts.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

          Dear Wally,

Even though you never kicked a goal, laid a tackle or even wore the jumper, you were as pivotal to the club's on-field success as those who did.

There are no statistics to mark what you did, no records - just memories and they are immortal, just like you are.

Our thoughts are with Wally's family & friends, and all those at the club. You were part of the club for more than ten years, and I hope you're in a better place now, where the Swans win every week. RIP.

To all the players and SFC staff, it must be very hard to lose a member of such a close-knit family. I'm sure all of us members and fans will be there to give our support for the rest of the year and beyond. Go get 'em, boys.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Rest in Peace Wally. Thank you for all you've done for our club over the years, through the good and bad times - your position as head trainer may be re-filled in time, but you will never be replaced in the hearts of those whose lives you were so involved in.

Sincere condolences to all who knew him personally. I hope you can all support each other through this horrible time and each remember Wally in your own way.

I have no doubt that you couldn't have given any more than what you gave, for that we thank you.

Footy teams are like family and we have to live with the ups and downs that life presents. This is one of the downs, being able to work through this and come out the other side a stronger more capable to handle life challenges is what I consider Wally would want. Be thankful that you have known him and think of the good times and give your best! You will be sorely missed but not forgotten.

                    RIP Wally

                          To everyone at the Swans,

What happened on Saturday was mind numbingly tragic. My Condolences to Wally's family and friends.

It seemed like death was around me on Saturday. That morning I lost my Grandpa, so I know what you all are going through.

                          Chin up.
