    Perspective

Having been so angry and frustrated after the game against the Kangas, I recovered by watching last weekend's game against Brisbane. Despite the outpouring of wrath and scorn after yesterday's last quarter, I still think we follow a good team. OK, we stuffed up - bigtime. So did a few others this weekend. But we still can make something of this season. And if the trend of reversing the first round results continues, we should win the next three! "Lend the eye a terrible aspect" - and bore right through Melbourne!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Oh and btw, did any of those other teams that "stuffed up" this weekend give up a 40 point 3-qtr time lead?

Just on the tragic passing of The swans trainer, there was some people arguing as to whether what happened on the bench would of affected the players, well Paul Roos said this morning that pretty much every player knew within a minute or two what was happening, also mentioned how he himself felt like he was in a daze after getting the news 10 mins in.

I think this should settle it for you:

Swans football director Andrew Ireland said it was hard to know how many players on the ground knew of the situation on the sidelines in the last quarter, though Jackson collapsed about the time Roos spearhead Saverio Rocca kicked his fifth goal of the half to put them within eight points of the Swans.

Therefore, the FACT is, we let a 40 point lead slip to 8 points when it happened, so please don't try to speculate and relate the two issues any more.

Just stick with the facts - the players switched off at 3/4 time, not when Wally went down.

Also give credit to the NMFC players for not giving up at 3/4 time in the face of a big defecit.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

What the @@@@ are you on about i wasnt talking about when the players started losing or anything you are talking about, all i said was there was one or two posts saying that when this tragedy transpired the players would have been unaware or unaffected, well im just saying i heard Roos interviewed this morning and he said all players knew within a minute or two of it happening,So what the hell are you on about?Think you should stick to the facts and not your rubbish hearsay.never did i mention nth melb or the merits of its win was just stating what Roosy said this morning.

No-one is saying the players would not have been unaware or unaffected in general or at ANY point in time in their life... of course you would be affected if your close friend and club stalwart dies. Well done on that one Sherlock. We are talking about it in the context of the game you absolute cretin.

Bloody hell, how simple do we have to keep it for some?

As for 'rubbish hearsay', you are the KING. Whereas my point was a direct quote from Andrew Ireland without any distortion, your scrambled mess of a post was pure dribble that relied on an unreliable account (yours) of what Paul Roos actually said.

Mate there was in other posts in other threads some people saying they didnt think what happened would of affected players,i didnt say you said it,and i never mentioned either way whether i though it played a part one way or another in our loss, you basically are just looking for an argument, how am i the king of hearsay would like something to back that up,either way my opinion is no more or less valid than yours,i refuse to get into a battle of wits with someone who is clearly unarmed...

The impact of centre square infringement can't be underestimated.

It was basically helter-skelter as soon as it happened and turned everything into a further state of panic.

Who know what would have happened had it not happened. We coudl have forced three ball ups in a row and run down the clock.
