Top sides all have players who pick 29 plus possessions as Jude did. Strewth if you look closely at Voss and Buckley you will see that they make disposal errors regularly but no-one ever knocks them.

Easily his best game for the Swans and BOG IMHO.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Fair enough, you are entitled to your opinion, no problem.
But you are the second or third poster to claim Bolton was 'no way' BOG without offering a name of 'your' BOG.

It's difficult because it was a very team-oriented victory, which is fabulous to see. In terms of best players I'd think Goodes is up there, and would probably get my vote as B.O.G. I'm quite happy to put Bolton in the best players on the day, just not B.O.G.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

No problems Charlie. By all means, vote away.
I'm just not interested in it, that's all.
In the main these things are compromised by people just voting for their favourites, regardless. As such they lack credibility, IMO.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

re the credibility of the TLM, the votes last year were very considered and ended up being quite similar to the votes from the coaching staff which went into the B&F. We ended up with the same winner, who was not a specific "favourite".
And anyway, why not take the opportunity to put your objective vote in?Dream, believe, achieve!Comment

BBB - why waste the opportunity to PUT a considered vote inI think charlie can pretty much confirm that last year's voting was RELATIVELY free of rigging in favour of "favourites" - as much as is possible anyway! People will always have their favourites who will nudge in front when the decision is tight on who to award votes to.
The way the TLM is structured (assuming CG hasn't changed it over the summer!), the more fair-dinkum people voting ensures that the exceptions don't get counted as heavily.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I thought he played fantastic in and under the packs, and his handballing was sensational, but I still believe that his kicking let him down a bit.
Still a very gutsy performance, and certainly something for us Swans fans to look forward to this season.
He was certainly in our best 3 or 4, I just think he could have been a little more constructive with his kicking. I am sure this (hope) will improve as the season progresses.Comment

I can certainly confirm that it was the better players who got the votes each week. Can anyone deny the domination of Adam Goodes and Paul Williams in the second half of the season? Ben Fixter's brilliant blanket job on Stephen Milne in round 20? Barry Hall running riot in the last 2 rounds??? Paul Kelly being in his best form for 4-5 years in rounds 4-7??? Tadhg Kennelly's incredible show of flair, charisma and skill in round 13?
The TLM was a VERY good indicator of player's performances. Even the much-maligned lesser likes such as Brett Kirk, Daniel McPherson, Leo Barry and yes, Jude Bolton, were rewarded when their performances deserved it.
I can't even remember 1 incident of favouritism being reflected in the votes. We hate Anthony Rocca
