I actually wasn't overly impressed by the Pies. Sure, they were comfortable winners, and they did have a few first choice players out, but the scoreline was somewhat flattered by Richardson's kicking for goal. (Maybe you could say the same about Sydney and Fevola!) For me it was a typical early season game with lots of soft turnovers and I thought they were over-using the ball at times.

Not saying that I don't think the Pies will be a force this year - but they didn't do anything to get me too excited.

well this week we play freo at subi and then adelaide at home, so im confused as to what u mean???

Does this mean that you're tipping a draw somewhere? I personally am expecting several games this season to be losses (I'm less dissappointed this way), and I reckon the Crows are going to pump us (porno-style, with lots of different positions and camera angles, and very poor backing music)

lol on the porno, carey would be a very prime candidate for the porn star, i hope he isnt star on the day though...

what i was referring to was that people were saying that after the first three rounds we could really start to look at how we will go this season, so i was saying if we were 1-1-1, itd be hard to draw any conclusions...

I still don't get the 1-1-1. Are they wins? I don't know about Freo yet-It depends on our list (and theirs). I still expect a loss to the Crows. Especially with Carey as their lead porno actor (I sure hope the porno reference hasn't significantly reduced the tone of this thread).

porno reference is purely tongue in cheek obviously, i think it is funny but im not everyone...

the 1-1-1 thing is how you would see it on the ladder ie,

win - draw - loss
1 1 1

freo, every week im gonna go in expecting us to lose this year for some reason... its better than being over confident.

id much prefer to draw against freo and lose to adelaide than lose to freo and draw with adelaide coz then itll just show how inconsistent this year will be

freo on paper have some pretty good players who we will need to contain ie:

pavlich
headland
medhurst
farmer
bell
cookie ( only coz he is a fav)

i like cookie, u could never boo him if he was playing against us... whereas hows the wrap that stafford gets when he plays against us

speakin of which, i was at the round 5 embarassment (draw) last year and i couldnt believe that the sainters fans hated hall so much! and ND is gonna cop it from the eddie army when we play em...
