    Friday Night Football

I know it was only the filth that were disadvantaged, but how one sided was the umpiring!
You know Essendon are in for a good night when Lloyd gets a gift free kick in the first minute!

I know we get caned by the umpires, but I think generally West Coast get treated even worse than us, except for last week at the Gabba. No surprise to see two of the three field umpires from that game dropped!

I have a feeling we are going to get Goldstink next week, and James and Kennedy will be with him.

From what I saw of the umpiring last night, those three won't be anywhere near the Olympic Stadium next week.

Not when it is hurting us!!!!

4 points and small percentage out of the 8.

Lose tonight and we have some issues going into next week.

I know it would have been nice from a Sydney viewpoint for Collingwood to win...hmmm maybe this is all part of the conspiracy against Sydney
The destiny of the Swans is well and truly in their own hands tonight.
All I can say given the conditions here, thank god the match is being played in the sterile conditions of the dome compared to the MCG

Not really, it was in our hands last week and we dropped it. Now we will have to rely on other results.

There are 3 teams chasing 2 finals spots and we play one of those teams next week. If we win the next 3 games we do not have to rely on other results because we will be 4 points ahead of Essendon(who would have to lose to us next week). I think.

Actually there are five teams chasing 3 spots

Believe it or not is quite conceivable that teams 6-10 could all finish on 12 wins!

It's also possible that even if the Swans lost tonight and next week, they could still squeak into the finals on percentage.

The final 8 looked almost cut and dried just a few weeks ago, yet the closer we get to round 22, the more open it looks!

I can't really see West Coast losing another match.

The only match Essendon will lose from now will probably be against us.

I don't think Freo will make it to the finals.

Kangas should get at least one win out of the next 3 and with their percentage should be enough.

I don't know if Sydney will beat Richmond at the MCG. If we won last week by 60 or so points it wouldnt of mattered anyway. The other problem is the top 5 are really strong - coming 8th would make the first week very hard. A big percentage win (similar to last year) over Essendon might be enough....

I think that's nearly impossible. We can only make finals realistically if we win two games and even then we can still easily miss out.
