Will we get a decent go next week? I thought the umpiring was OK yesterday as they let it run and didn't keep finding free kicks. Overall 24 frees were paid, none resulted in goals and the umpring had no influence on the result of the game. Contrast it to Friday's game where 45 frees were paid and Essendon got their usual favourable treatment from the umps. That is why I am worried about next week. Sydney can beat Essendon but I don't think they can beat Essendon AND the umpires. I just can't believe the AFL lets this blatant favouritism of Essendon continue.
Fair umpiring next week.

Re: Fair umpiring next week.
What I like about Friday's Essendon-Collingwood game was how Eddie managed to get in a subtle barb of his own while commentating. He reminded us all that the Bombers have kicked the most goals from frees this season.Originally posted by anne
