So what did we learn last night ?

    1.Schneider looks the part.
    2.So does Mc.Cormick of Carlton.
3.Jason Ball is well off the pace and will need time to get back to his 2001 form.
4.Crezza is entitled to a quiet game once in a while.
5.Better teams than Carlton - all 14 of 'em - will exploit our lack of height at the back.Three defenders going with one forward won't work evry week.
6.Nicks should have been on the "best" list - even when he didn't have the ball , he worked hard and is arguably the most intelligent player on the list.
7.Bazza needs to give Saddo the name of his barber - and quickly.

Pleased to see Pretty Boy have a good game last night.
But remember , Jude , this is football - unlike the Cleo awards , you have to turn up and look good more than once a year.

    Nice summary!
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

      That summary is spot on.
We will definately learn more about this team in the next 3 weeks. We have freo at subi, crows at home and hawks at the mcg,if we can be 2 wins on the board after 4 rounds,i am sure roosy and the boys maybe satisfied. But i honestly think we could be 3 wins,1 loss.

Can't wait,it will be quite interesting.

We learn from that game that Carlton do not appear to have improved from last season, and that my tip for them as a possible wooden spooner again looks to have legs, albeit early ones (also had the sainters as likely wsers as well). Not much can really be read into that game as encouraging as it was. The real test will come travelling to Perth and our game against the Crows to see how we have really come. I just like giving it to Sam/Eddie for writing us off, along with all those melbourne "experts" who picked the blues to win...at least for a week the ladder reads Sydney top, Brissie Second, Eagles 3rd, and Crows fourth....Wooohoo.
...and those dastardly bombers second to bottom...
And Saddo...get to the barber pronto
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Leo Barry seems to be an ideal candidate for the second man up in defence, much like Mick Malthouse uses Cloke at Collingwood.

Except Leo can take a speccy.

He is crucial to our defence, and we lost out way last year without him.

crows will really test us! their midfield has the potential of absolutely flogging us! i cant wait to yell at carey though, but if he has the option at pointing at the scoreboard it will be a disappointing day...
