AFL site Maxfield - Villan of the week, Roos - Coach of the week

Find it interesting that Maxfield can be named villan of the week for being reported before it has even gone to a tribunal hearing. I would agree with them if he was found guilty, but I don't think he will be.

The bloke who wrote that is an idiot. He is intimating that Maxfield's report was due to that melee on the boundary line when it was for that attempted spoil on Miller.

Tribunal hearings at this time of the year are a disruption for clubs. Maxfield, as his club's captain, should have walked away from any fracas
Wasnt he reported for the blow to the ribs of a marking player?? He did nothing wrong in the boundary line "fracas" from what i saw, stupid idea to label him a villan if it was for what occured at the benches.

What amazes me is that we haven't had one player suspended this year.

Some clown journo on Fox sports is talking up Bazza being cited.

Unless he has been reported for striking Read's fist with his chin two or three times during that melee.

If Maxfield gets suspended, or Hall gets cited, then something is very very wrong with the tribunal.

I am pretty sure that we have not had a suspension since Roos took over as coach

was Bazza suspended for 5 weeks while Roosy was "Caretaking"?? There were 0 last season, and 0 this season. I think our only trips there have really been to give evidence, except for Halls charge against Grants dive.

What a joke afl.com.au is, if anything Phil Read should be the villain of the week.

How much of an idiot does that journo (and I use that term very loosely) look now that Maxfield's charge has been withdrawn.

And at worst - Barry will get a fine.

I thought rough play came with a sentence if you had history of similiar behaviour?

So much for innocent until proven guilty. Villain of the week and he wasn't even cited!??
