    quote from BS

If Farmer can argue that kneeing a bloke in the head and causing fractures is part of his tackling technique then Barry should have no trouble when he says tackling someone with the ball and taking them to the ground is part of his.
    What an absolute joke.

LOL...that is such a truism, and funny to boot...well done, BS.
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

I think there is an argument that perhaps Nicholson should have received a free kick. Hall started tackling before they went out of bounds and continued to do so and slung him into the ground. This is sometimes paid a free kick. Certainly not reportable though.

the conspiracy theory is a load of crap, the AFL will benefit from essendon in the finals finacially for sure - but the long term benefits of sustained success and support for Sydney is much greater than the $$$ gained from one bombers finals campaign.

on the report, deserved to be cited, stupid action - will be found guilty and will receive a fine, the proper outcome. IMO.

An intelligent response at last...... if My post is properly read, you will find that is what I was saying.

Should have been a penality and it is borderline that it was reported. If he is unlucky, he will get a week.

it was unneccessary and therefore borderline reportable.
should get a fine, although if unlucky will get a week suspension.

Probably would have been a free kick if it weren't for a couple of Melbourne players who wanted to start something, and the umpires seeking to avoid a huge melee decided to restart play quickly. I'm surprised Read hasn't been cited, he landed a couple of nice punches on Maxfield.

Baz should get off and Ian Robinson the video reporting officer should be cited for bringing the game into disrepute.

Actually, Robinson will be sacked next year then the video citings can be done on a journalistic consensus among the Melbourne media...hold on that what happens now.

i'm confused.. the one with the ripped guernsey is accused of rough play?

Just looked at the replay again. If this is reportable then let's all give up now and go and play tiddleywinks.

By the looks of it I reckon Hall was pretty restrained, if he really wanted to hurt him I reckon he could've thrown him a hell of a lot harder, my guess his he was well through the tackle before realising how far they were over the boundary line. Same old story again, Barry gets done because he's the only player in the AFL physically capable of performing strong tackles like that.

I must admit that I sometimes get frustated because Barry doesn't tackle enough in the forward line.....now I know why. The fact is, if he tackled within the rules but as hard as possible most sides would limp off the field.

its just that if they're gonna be ridiculous, why not charge the guy who whacked ryan's face with bitch slapping or causing indecent exposure to the one who pulled tahdg's shorts down!!

A hangin' offence Liz. That dickhead who does the video umpiring at AFL is under instructions from someone, as he surely couldn't have arrived at the decison by himself - his mental deficiencies have been aired before - much like the rest of the administration.

Geez, the opposition were hanging off Hall with one hand all day - literally!
