    what an awesome day

The game at telstra dome was bloody wonderful. No one will probably read this but i feel like typing it.

I went to see the swans for the first time ever and they didnt let me down. I sat through hawthorn brisbane first in what seemed like arctic conditions. Then finally went over to the telstra dome. It seemed almost unreal to be inside a place ive seen on tv so much... i couldnt help but by a few badges and shirts even though i had no money. I was with my brother in law and their familky friends who are melbourne fans... about 12 of them...but i didnt care.

Seeing the team warm up was soo exciting.. awesome to be that close to the best team in the world.. then they ran out and it was awesome... maybe there were more demons fans..(just) but the swans fans are louder!!! and the ones around me were louder... i sang the song and stuff and got ready to start.

I thought id be quiet at the game but was actually giving the people in front a headache i think :P but they didnt mind... the game was awesome what a win!!

The best part was some swans fans behind me comming down and congratulating me on my cheering :P what a thrill to watch the player walk off winners... and to sing the club song with all the other swans fans!

i know some of u prolly go all the time so its just another game...but bloody hell it was awesome!

im sorry this is so long the rest ill say in dot points

    * doyle actually prooved me wrong a bit... hes got a future at the club

    * you notice hall get a raw deal from the umps even more when ur at the game

*leo barry has become one of the leagues best defenders!

*jude bolton is a premier midfielder no matter what anyone says... hes full of courage!

*micky o is more talented than anyone at brisbane!

    and finally the main point

Our cheer squad behind the goals craps all over melbournes cheer squad... anyone who was in that ur bloody awesome!

sorry everyone just it was exciting

    Good on you!

    It was a terrific game!

It felt surreal to me also, being at a ground I have seen so much of on tv and actually sitting in the stadium. What a terrific ground!

We could have crossed paths. I was at the G also!

Glad you had a great time Andrew.

Loved your story - next time you have to come to a home match at the SCG or Homebush!

If the draw is kind next year - perhaps you could do a one week holiday to Sydney and go to both grounds!.

Glad You enjoyed the game it was fantastic. I to believed the Melbourne supporters were very dull. After all if you team is behind and needs a lift you would think they would be yelling and screaming to lift em.

Was in the cheer squad had a ball.

Great Stadium. I was the nutty 1 in the front row in footy shorts on a freezing raining day.

          lol

How cold and wet was it. My god! Although, I must admit I love that sort of weather.

It was a very very cool trip though.

Besides the win I particularly loved the jumping up and down and hugging I did walking across the bridge to Burke st with Schneidergirl, Pink Lady and JF.

I then proceeded to sign Cheer Cheer all the way up Burke Street much to Hubby's embarrassment.

Oh well I was feeling far too happy to care.

glad you had such a great time. reports like yours make me realise how spoilt i am living 5 minutes walk from the SCG.... i've never been to the phone box but everyone says it's a great ground to watch footy at.
