    Diving score cards for Essendon game

    It's been suggested that diving score cards be made for the Essendon game, which are held up by members of the cheer squad whenever an Essendon player dives to win a free kick. The idea has cropped up a few times now, in these threads:

    How many goals from frees for Bombers?

    I'm beginning to think we just have to do this. With the Olympics on this weekend as well, it's fitting that we celebrate the Olympics and curse the umpires at the same time.

    What does everyone think?

      One of the best ideas all season mate. It HAS to be done. It will be seen on TV and made a note of, definitely. I reckon the Swans should make thousands of cards with different numbers for the 70,000 in attendance to hold up.
      The cards in the cheersquad will look AWESOME!!

          have you seen the ad for "the gospel" show? i haven't ever watched it, but foxfooty show a clip from from the last show i assume, where they associate afl players with olympic sports. nathan brown for dressage, matthew lloyd for diving

              Ok heres an idea...i will make up a pdf for people to download and print in a4?

              That way everyone here can either print one of and send it to another person via email and get them to print it off etc etc.

              Would make a funny spectacle that's for sure.

                                  These are very good, although I suggest you tinker with the pdf with the following suggestions -

                                  1. Design another three scorecoards with 7.5, 8.5 & 9.5 the numbering.

                                  2. Amend the signs with a red background and white numbering to reflect the Swans colours, therefore making sure that the TV audience and Essendon supporters is aware that Swans supporters were not happy with the decision.

                                      I would have numbers 7, 8, 9 (that is, no 10). No Essendon player can ever be perfect as long as they are not wearing Swans colours.

                                          Yeah ok I just made them black and white for those that dont have colour printer.

                                          And I don't have a brother called Jose.

                                          I'll amend them when i get home..but i hope ppl download them..we have to show the umps what we think.

                                              Tks Diego....got mine and have got em printed already, now ready for mounting on some cardboard and maybe laminated/clingfilmed in case of rain (dont leave anything to chance.)... as we sit in a group/row, we'll all have em...and stand as one to give our score....

                                              This will be a hoot if we can get a hundred or so swannies, holding up diving scorecards for Lloyd...
                                              "Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

                                                          Just printed out 30 8,9 and 10 sheets.

                                                          Will hand them out to people at the front of the Cheer Squad on Saturday night.

                                                          Will get on the TV for sure.
