    freo

Will be an interesting match next week against freo.

Freo actually play a running game similar to what Roos has developed, but have even less KPP than us.
Will be very interesting to see how we go against a similar style, and a team with good fitness.

Freo looked ordinary against the crows today, but have a big advantage at home.
A win here against the odds would be an awesome start, and start fostering a good slice of self beleif (for players, fans and media).

well, I'm happy to get the perth trip out of the way early!!

Freo are not easy to beat at Subi, and they have always been a bit of a bogey team for us... hopefully the confidence of this week's win will help us over the line - it will be close.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

tough to win over there these days, almost an unbeatable fortress over there, will have to be a near flawless performance.

The biggest test for us this game is that we know Freo will control the midfield for sometime each qauter which was something Carlton could'nt which will intern put our defence under pressure and we should get to see how it looks.

I think we can win here we have to take control early to stamp out what should be a bumper crowd, freo have there fair share of match winners and youth which like us depend on confidence

This year they are expected to be fighting for a place in the 8 and will be under a little pressure to atone for the Crows game.

There are key match ups for us but Iam not sure if all of freo first team are going to avaliable I will post anything major from the local papers for all of you.

Shall get the best night sleep of had for years sunday nights are always better when you WIN.

I already have a dicey feeling on this one. Perhaps due to them playing at home (and smarting from today's loss), and our guys (perhaps) not acknowledging that we beat the (arguably) most stuffed team in the comp last night.

            I'm hoping it aint so.

That bogey team thing is history.
We will hammer Fremantle at Subi next week.

Where does Freo keep finding these super tall ruckmen??

First Burton at 210 cm and now Sandilands is even taller at 211cm

Its definitely a good test for us early in the season. At least the boys will be chock full of confidence.
Freo will be keen to atone for yesterday's performance but if we can run like we did Saturday (esp. of the half back line), we are in with a great chance of getting the points.
Didnt the boys look quick on Staurday night?

Unless Doyle comes up, we can just about forget winning any centre bounces, but around the ground Goodes and Ball will carve these dionsaurs up. So expect a lot of rebounding from defence. We need Schuable back in!

i was quite impressed with the 2 mins i saw of sandilands, he is HUGE! but he seemed to be able to run quite well and his kick for goal was good...

freo will test us, goodes vs pavlich would be a good matchup

I doubt Burton will be much of a problem...

If Farmer does come up for the game from his corky. Then all we need is someone to ruffle his feathers a little. He is an angry man and once that happens he loses the plot and forgets about the game!
