Am now getting emails from the Swans Melbourne office. They are great. Really informative, and catering to the wishes of supporters down there.

By why in hell don't people in Sydney get sent the same sort of emails? I know as a fact that there are people here who'd just love to be able to feel comfortable popping into Driver Ave to pick up some of this merchandise. Or being given the chance to buy something via phone/email etc. Not once has anything of the ilk been sent from the office up here. Yet we get bombarded with offers to catch a rip-off cruise to Homebush matches?! Fellas, I hate have to chase things like this up all the time, but what is going on?

Looking at things positively, well done to the Melbourne-based office. You Melbourne-based supporters, do the office a favour by popping in and buying something. Make them feel that the efforts they are taking to cater to you guys ARE appreciated.

And say Julian from Sydney told you about it on Redandwhiteonline.com

    JF

PS:- Did anyone else get an email from the membership department. I'm going to try and be fair when I get the chance to reply to it. But I just get mad at what I perceive rank inefficiency.

There is a merchandise shop in the Gold Car Park, about 5 minutes walk from the Swans offices. It is open at least 5 days a week (maybe also on match days), so while it is no good for people at work, it probably is just as available as "popping into Driver Avenue".

And don't we get sent merchandise leaflets two or three times a year if we want to buy via phone or email?

      We do, twice a year.

I have received two email from Rebecca from the Melbourne office in 2 weeks.

Being pro-active about things like this is the way to generate some pretty decent revenue. I like the fact that the Melbourne office look keen at developing this, even to the point of saying that people can come in and say hi where they can buy things.

Jeez, I get a weekly email from the club, which has plenty of interesting and relevant information in terms of my membership.

I don't need to be emailed on merchandise, as I can go to the shop at the match or look at the catalogue. In fact I don't like this overtly commercial type email flogging me stuff. Sure the cruise offer has been flogged to death, but it has never been sent to me as a solo email, simply embedded in the enewsletter.

well well, isn't it interesting to see Melbourne being put ahead of Sydney for at least one thing. Wonders will never cease.

I find it annoying that the club won't normally send emails to people who have bought their membership interstate.
For the last few years I tried often to get the emails that the Sydney office sent out, I would contact them and they would send me the current email but would not put me on the mailing list. It's handy for us who travel a lot to get emails from both ends.
This year I bought both Vic Membership and NSW Country Membership, so now I get bombarded with emails, as well as double mags, double hats, double medalliions.
