    Tarrant for Sydney

According to Crackers Keenan on an interview on FM 101.7 in Sydney this morning - rumour has it pretty strong Tarrant is headed for Sydney in 2005!

    What a forward set up.

Mickey, Taz, Nick, Schides, Baz at CHF!

All we need is to develop a good midfield and pow there is two flags in the waiting right there.

    I wouldnt believe it.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Perhaps a .01% chance of it happening.

I'm not sure I'd like it to... there's probably some potentially embarassing posts of mine referring to Tarrant buried deep in the Bigfooty archives...
      We hate Anthony Rocca
      We hate Shannon Grant too
      We hate scumbag Gaspar
      But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

Ihonestly dont think we need him. We already have enough good forwards in Hall, Oloughlin, Buchanan, Davis amd schnider. We need to go for a ruckman to take over Ball when he retires and midfielders.

Dont believe it will happen anyway. Is he out of contract??

That means Tarrant must be out of contract at the end of this year. LLoyd and Kouta were on their way too.

He might be after boxing lessons from Barry!

I think he would be a great aquistion, whether or not we need him is another issue.

I notice that MarkT(BF) keeps calling for him to be used as a wingman, could be handy for us.

Anyone know his state of origin?

              No thanks.

Great player to get, but the Forward line isn't our issue...unless of course Nick Davis is going to become the leagues gun midfielder next year....

I'd take him in a second- with a belief that Nick Davis will play mainly in the midfield next year.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Nick Davis will have to be a hell of a lot harder to the ball and work a lot more if he's to become a midfielder. He's certainly got the talent to be a fantastic creative player through there, but he's not hungry enough for the ball often enough for mine.

Don't really see how Tarrant would help team balance, apart from him fighting Barry Hall to lead the most marks for the club for the season.

Pretty common criticism of him, and it probably is warranted as well... he seemed ready to go at the start of this year, I am just closing my eyes tightly enough and praying to the big pink pixie in the sky that he will be the same at the start of next season... ready to go that is, not injured...

I think people underrate how good Davis is in the midfield - injuries and lack of pre-season have been his main problems.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I reckon Hall was impressed with Tarrant's efforts last Saturday night, and would gladly welcome him north.

If true, and I very much doubt it is considering the source, he would be a very good pick up for us.

                          Won't happen I wouldn't think

A player of Tarrant's quality won't come cheap. What will we be giving up to get him?
