Early in the second: looks like they caught a later one.
I think Bevan belongs in the midfield permanently now - he's coming along really quickly. But did you see him get lectured by Goldspink for trying to milk a 50m? Then 5 minutes later Golspink pays the dodgiest holding the ball in history against him. I hate Goldspink.Last edited by midaro; 21 August 2004, 08:24 PM. -

Seem to be posting to myself here (no-one in chat either) but ..hey.
Davis is having a blinder. I know people reckon he's a midfield prospect for us, but why move someone who virtually gaurantees a goal with any posesession inside 60m?Comment

Duuno if there is an "official Swans V Bummers" thread but here goes - we should bloody win it from here!Comment

Why do you say that considering he missed two relatively easy goals? We need someone who can deliver to Hall and Micky consistantly and kick goals around the 50m line more than we need another small forward.Originally posted by midaro

Our midfielders are all hard working "low-class" players with poor kicking skills. Need some ND action there I think!Comment

Agree. We lack foot skills in the midfield. Kirk, Jude, Matthews and Amon are all run and handball types. We need someone with along accurate kick, and ND fills that role well.Originally posted by Wil

Davis won't play in the midfield as he is too good at kicking goals. Unless injury or a team restructure under pressure causes a switch.
People seem to have forgotten Willo who is just starting to get his touch back. If he is right he gives us the added dash and delivery, and Nicks coming off half back usually finds his target.Comment

They seem to be rotating - we get great delivery into the forward 50 from Barry H, Nick D and Ryan. We don't want Mickey to do too much dashing around. And Captain delivers well too.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment
