There was an incident where Hird juggled a mark over the line and blew up when the boundary ump called for a throw in. Goldspink patted him as if to say "sorry mate, can't help you this time" which was a bit too friendly for me. Players can't touch umps and the reverse should apply (whether or not he's the AFL's ambassador to umpires).

After Nird fumbled the mark over the line he threw the ball aggressively away. Goldstink should have awarded a free kick against him. But of course Nird is a protected species....as demonstrated by a couple of other dodgy decisions to him in the game.

And how dare Goldstink abuse Bevo and Tadgh. Bevo was pushed to the ground after he took the mark and he wasn't staging.....and Tadgh wasn't the only one in the huddle during the ball up.

I have to agree that overall the umpiring wasn't too bad.....apart from a couple of iffy decisions in their 50.

Don't watch alot of footy?, Bevan was milking it for all its worth and I have no probs with umpires telling players so! in fact I would love to see more off it as it may cut down on those trying to do it.

I watch footy EVERY week thank you! It's a shame that the players that stage week in and week out aren't given a talking to. I objected to his tone of voice both times.

There was a period of play that I won't forget. Quartemaine and Lane were going on about what Goldspink had just said about a Swan (Bevan?) taking a dive. In that time, Mick took an incredible mark and kicked an absolute screamer. No comment at all from Quartermaine and Lane, they were too busy agreeing with Goldspinks. They only said something about the mark and goal after the ad break.

If it had been Lloyd or Hird pulling in such an awesome grab, they would have been screaming the roof off the commenatry box. But no....
